Examples of problems I have helped solve.
Connecting development and production
A business-critical script was running in production without reliable version control or a clear connection to development. I established a controlled deployment pipeline and automated testing, making releases traceable, reproducible and safer. The approach was subsequently adopted for other projects.
Finding the real problem behind a new technology purchase
A customer had purchased a new application but was unsure what problem it should solve. By working with users, we identified data capacity, organization and performance as the underlying challenges. This led to targeted improvements including data lifecycle management and infrastructure upgrades.
Designing infrastructure around real operational requirements
Experience includes cloud and on-premises infrastructure, storage solutions for large research datasets, data movement, database migrations and automation — with particular focus on repeatability, integrity, security and operational stability.
Connecting engineering teams
I established and drove a cross-team Community of Practice that brought engineers together around common tools, practices and knowledge sharing, improving standardization and collaboration across previously separate teams.
